I met the Allreds when they moved to Colorado over Christmas break a couple of years ago. Instantly, I knew that I wanted my family and I to be friends with these amazing people. If you want to hear great stories, talk to Brad. If you want to learn all about animals of every kind, talk to Ann. If you want to be uplifted on a hard day, talk to Kim.
When we booked this shoot, we decided to try a new location, and we settled on Golden Ponds Park in Longmont, Colorado. It was a beautiful space, still green even as fall was coming to an end. Our goal was to have fall family pictures, but this particular weekend turned out to be cold; we decided to do it anyway!
You guys, we got there, and it was cold. C.O.L.D Cooooooold. I was the lucky one since I was bundled up in layers with my fingerless gloves on. I do not do cold if I can help it. ÂÂ
But the Allreds? They were tough sports and they handled it so well! Other than some rosy cheeks, you'd never know that these kids were freezing. It was such a fun shoot because these kids aren't afraid of climbing or getting dirty. We were laughing the whole time.
If was definitely getting cold for.
