Mackenzie and Alan met when they were put on the same young adult service committee. Working together, they were able to get to know each other well, and then fall in love!
This young couple spends most of their time together outdoors: hiking, badminton, evening walks... They knew they absolutely wanted their bridal portraits to reflect their love of the Colorado outdoors. Â
Unlucky for us, we had a tight pre-wedding schedule, and it snowed in the mountains a LOT the day before our shoot.
Lucky for us, we found an amazing park that could still meet everyone's expectations!
Kenz and Alan wanted to start with First Look pictures. Alan hadn't seen Kenz's dress yet, and this was the big reveal! It was emotion-filled and such an exciting moment as Kenz turned Alan around. Â
We spent an additional 90 minutes doing a full bridal shoot capturing every details of these two. The rings, the glances, the smiles, the eyes...you can tell that these two are ready to spend forever together!

Kenz and Alan scheduled this shoot well before their wedding day. This was their plan! As a result of this careful planning, they were able to use their portaits for the wedding reception itself. As you can see at the bottom of this gallery, they used these pictures throughout their decor {centerpieces, backdrops, etc}, as well as their gorgeous sign-in book!
You can see the rest of their wedding day in this blog post.
This session was shot at the LaVern M. Johnson Park in Lyons, Colorado.
The wedding reception was held in Berthoud, Colorado.
